In only more only 7 more days T:ANE is officially released and May 15, 2015 will be marked down in Trainz history as the beginning of a new era in train simulation.

In the meantime, there have been over 50,000 man hours of effort spent in developing what we promised will be the best ever version of Trainz. We think we you see the release version you will agree that we have achieved that goal!

We’ve come a long way…

In addition to the development work, our Kickstarter Beta testers have entered 3,343 bugs (including perhaps just a few too many duplicates) across the 7 major pre-release versions of the product since the first “Alpha” release a year ago on May 9, 2014.

In terms of in-game assets the numbers at last count looked like this:

  • 14,315 assets
  • 8 Routes
  • 44 sessions
  • 261 rolling stock (wagons, boxcars, passenger cars etc)
  • 51 locomotives with 44 cab interiors,
  • 25 horn sounds, 9 tenders
  • 439 vehicles
  • 328 track types
  • 98 tunnel and bridge splines
  • 865 track objects (speed signs, signals etc)
  • 5073 Buildings
  • 1897 scenery objects
  • 1803 spline objects (roads, fences etc)
  • 130 people (plus more in scenery)
  • 152 Industries
  • 434 commodities
  • 1370 ground textures
  • 108 Rules and 46 scripts

There have been over 15,000 posts on the T:ANE Kickstarter forums and over 20,000,000 total pageviews across all the Trainz forums!

Today you can view the official T:ANE trailer on youtube and see if you can help us with one more very important number. We want to get 1,000,000 views for our trailer and you can all help by sharing the link via Facebook, email or your favorite social app. Check it out on YouTube here.
